Product link shapes: read the platform and item number
Direct search and manual requests use different address shapes. These examples explain the cleaner’s local rules, not whether a listing is available today.

The highlighted item number identifies a listing within its platform. Tracking parameters can differ between copies; variant parameters may still matter to the option you intend to buy.

Query parameter. The spm tracking value in front of it differs between two copies of the same link, which is why string comparison finds no duplicates and item-number comparison finds plenty.

Same parameter as Taobao. A skuId may ride along; it names a variant, not a different product, so it is not part of the identity.

This example identifies the listing in the path. Reading only an id= query parameter would miss this form.
https://weidian.com/item.html?itemID=5566778899&spider_token=ab12
Third spelling of the same idea. Copies of one Weidian link differ in capitalisation and in the trailing token.
The examples use different URL conventions. Check the host and the platform-specific item field rather than searching for any number in an address.
Capitalisation is not consistent either. The same Weidian parameter appears as itemID, itemId and itemid depending on where the link was copied from, so matching has to ignore case.

A real listing with a number in the path, and still a request: the operator names JD among the platforms its form covers rather than its search field.

An album may contain multiple products or incomplete purchase details. Identify the exact item and confirm price, options and seller terms in a request.

A second-hand marketplace. Check the selected item’s current availability, condition and return terms.

A post may describe an item without providing enough details to buy it. Include the exact product and available seller information.

Also written Poizon. Named on the operator's banner alongside the other four.
The older banner below names five platforms. Article 10112 read 2026-10-10 also names Zhuanzhuan, so the banner is not an exhaustive coverage list.

Worth noticing what this list is not: it is not a ranking of platforms and it says nothing about which has better goods. It is a statement about parsing.
Tidied up by deleting the query string, which took the item number with it. What opens now is a shop front page.
A shortened address may hide the platform and item number. Open it yourself and copy the resolved product URL; this local tool does not follow redirects.
A seller can remove a listing or publish a replacement with a different number. Recheck the original seller page.
An album, a post, a search result page. These are worth keeping and have to go by form.
Only the first is preventable by habit: copy the whole address, every time. The rest are reasons to save the shop name and the title alongside the link, which costs a column and solves three problems.
Keep the full source link. Taobao, Tmall and Weidian use query parameters for item identity, while 1688 usually puts the listing number in the path. Other parameters can still matter for selected variants or link behaviour.
Matching platform and listing numbers can reveal copies with different tracking parameters. This catches the supported numeric formats; it does not resolve short links or identify a product shared across different sellers.
The cleaner cannot compare that address by product number. Open it yourself and confirm the listing or request details. An album, post or short link may need more information before it can be purchased.
A variant ID identifies an option within a listing. Two matching listing numbers can still mean different intended colours or sizes, so review those details before omitting a flagged duplicate.
